Electrical Installation Condition Report
Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) are official documents provided by electricians after conducting electrical inspections on residential and business properties. The assessment is based on the quality of the building’s electrical installations. This will flag up any potential problems and future work requirements.
Minor Works
- When there has be any alteration made to an existing circuit but where there is no change of protective device
- Where there has been any addition made to an existing circuit for example: The installation of a new outlet socket
It is legally required for a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (Minor Works Certificate) to be completed after any electrical installation work has been done on a modified circuit.
E.I.C
What is the Electrical Installation Certificate?
It is the safety Certificate which confirms that the electrical installation work to which it relates has been designed, constructed and tested in accordance with BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations). It is a legal requirement.
